Crime and Criminology Essay Writing

Crime and Criminology Essay WritingCrime has been an ever-present problem in the history of mankind. It is believed that the concept of crime itself has a history. The first crime was generally 'witch hunting' and was widely practiced during ancient times. As time passed, many other criminal activities took place such as kidnapping, rape, arson, etc. Before we go too far back in history, we have to take a step forward to explore the realm of past crimes and how they were solved. People around the world suffered at the hands of organized crime. There are various types of crimes ranging from simple thefts to murders, which may seem to be senseless and unrealistic to us.From thousands of years ago, society had a way of thinking and deciding on how to deal with crimes. Most people knew when someone had committed a crime because they had a face. It was a well known thing in their society to confront criminals at least once. Criminal justice in the beginning was based on the arrest, arraign ment, and court cases. In the United States of America, we must understand that a crime has been rampant throughout our history. There have been many instances when a person has been wrongly accused and had to pay a hefty sum of money as well as being executed. Many countries have been subject to serious crimes including murder, rape, kidnappings, torture, arson, etc. People have been killed by thieves, by innocent people, and by themselves. Many criminals make use of disguises and even fake identities when committing crimes. They will try to cover up their faces and identities so that no one will be able to recognize them. Also, a criminal may also conceal what he/she is carrying and what he/she is wearing. Often, an armed robber will disguise himself as a stranger so that he/she may not be caught. All these factors make it difficult for police officers and other authorities to solve crimes.Crime has been prevalent since antiquity. Once upon a time, there were many battles fought ove r ownership of certain territories. If a man had a good support base, then that person would have the upper hand in any fighting. There were many wars fought over territories and many thieves used to rob others for their wealth. It is now true that society has largely adopted a philosophy of crime, punishment, and criminal justice. However, this system was once flawed and people were often wrongly accused of crimes.
